and then there was two....

EXAM DOWN!!!
WOOOOHOOOO!!! yeah!! WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

no cartwheels for this one - but its goooooonnnne!
The first of my exams has been completed and all content is in the process of being put in the useless category. That being said - it went really well!!

The lecturer relased a sample exam paper - howevr only people who attend her lectures got it. I was one of the 20 odd people. Well the Final exam was so much of a rehash of that sample exam that I was absolutely sweet for all of the material!!

So that exam went fantastically. as always in Mick stories, there are some quirks.

the exam supervisors were hilarious. Both were in their 60- early 70's. Instead of doing the regular standard introduction - the guy told us stories about stupid people in exams. He then realised he had rambled for 5 minutes, and quickly rushe dthrough everything else... was quite funny :)
Even FUNNIER, was the fact that both of them were dozing off in the middle of the exam!! I finished early, and raised my hand - only to see them both with their eyes closed having a nap :) I waited for about 2 minutes... and then got up and tapped the fellow on the shoulder and gave him my exam wih a smile and left :)

2 hours exam... completed in 1 hour 30. What do people think about leaving exams early? a no-no, or if you've finished enjoy those moments of freedom?

Song of the moment: Incubus - I miss you.

For psych exams that are multiple choice - totally fine to leave early!! I normally finish, go thru answers once and then leave.

Left a 2 hour exam yesterday after about 70 mins...
One of my friends - who always sits like 3 seats ahead of me holds, in my mind the earliest escape from an exam. I think it was about 40 mins in of a 2 hour- and u can't leave in the first 30. And still passed, a grand effort really!

Other types of exams, sometimes its better to stay, but the boredom is usually too much for me so I leave if i'm done normally.

Funny one mick having to wake the supervisor up- I wonder if he'll tell that story next time he takes an exam...?

I don't think I've ever finished a uni exam early. That said, I'm too anal to leave early anyway unless I've been over it three times and there's still half an hour left to go. I reckon that you might miss some marks if you leave early, but if you finish that early you could be so puffed up with being stoked at your effort that you look over the silly little mistakes that you've made anyway. Like most things, take it as it comes :o)

As soon as I find an exam that doesn't bore me senseless (which isn't a good state to be in in an exam room) I'll major in that subject! I promise...

Has been a while since I cranked out the Incubus. Used to be one of my favourite bands.

I'm kinda curious:

what music are other people listening to at the moment? the more random the better.

Tonight's repertoire:

- A selection of Aboriginal music, ranging from Miniri Langka (from people of South Australia) to Djiliwirri (a song by the pop rock band Soft Sands, from Arnhem Land), with a little bit of Yothu Yindi in there as well

- Symphony No. 9, "From the New World", by Anton Dvorak

- A few pieces by George Gershwin, including "Rhapsody in Blue", possibly one of the coolest pieces ever written.

I've infected Richard, the bloke in the room next to me, with a liking for classical music lately. He can't get enough, and I've got a fair bit of it for a young bloke.

You wanted random ;o)

hrmmm... too random?

On a more normal note (pun unintentional but welcome), Norah Jones has been frequenting my ears with her sultry sounds many times over the last few weeks. Coldplay has been getting a good run too.

There's always noise of some kind around when you live in Glebe...
